Meet The Team

Virginia

Principal OT

Virginia graduated in 2001 with a BSc(Hons) Occupational Therapy and completed roles in acute medicine, aged care, neurosciences and pain management in a large teaching hospital in Swansea, UK. Soon after emigrating to Australia in 2010, she started working with Gwenn and became a practice owner at Bayside OT in 2013. Virginia is an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys working with adults with a broad range of complex physical disabilities through NDIS, DVA, homecare package and palliative care services. She is a trained lymphoedema practitioner and also works with a local chronic pain program providing group education sessions. In her spare time, she enjoys camping trips, trail running, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Gwenn

Principal OT

Gwenn graduated in 1982 from the University of Qld, with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree. She began her career in paediatrics, working with children with spina bifida, spinal injury and developmental delay. After living in Brazil for a number of years, Gwenn established Bayside OT in 2003, while she completed a second degree in fine art. Gwenn is passionate about providing a quality service which is client-centred, with a strong ethical foundation. Gwenn also teaches printmaking and maintains an art practice. She is a keen gardener and observer of nature, and enjoys bushwalking, reading and spending time with her husband,friends and three adult children.

Chris

Senior OT

Chris graduated from the University of Southampton, England in 2001 with Bsc (Hons) Occupational Therapy. He worked in a large teaching hospital in Swansea, South Wales across inpatient services, including the Welsh National Burns and Plastics specialist unit. Chris then moved to a government funded centre for people living in the community with complex and chronic disabilities and was instrumental in developing the Occupational Therapy service to provide excellent outcomes for participants. Since emigrating to Australia in 2010 with Virginia, Chris has gained extensive experience providing Occupational Therapy services to adults with disabilities in various community settings. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals. Chris enjoys fishing, mountain biking, cooking and camping trips.

Lynda

Senior OT

Lynda Dunlop hails from Scotland and qualified 38 years ago with a BSc in Occupational Therapy. Lynda was the Principal Occupational Therapist for a Community Paediatric service in Scotland for 26 years. She emigrated to Australia in 2006 and worked with Queensland Health, Queensland Department of Education and Queensland Department of Housing before joining Bayside Occupational Therapy in 2013. Lynda is a senior Occupational Therapist with Bayside Occupational Therapy treating DVA, NDIS and home care package clients. Lynda has expertise in capacity building with clients with intellectual disability. Lynda also has a special interest is in improving and maintaining functional independence and implementing preventative measures in the older adult population.

Lisa

Senior OT

Lisa is an experienced Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with adults in their own homes, enabling them in everyday tasks and activities. She has a particular interest in assistive technology and is always on the lookout for new gadgets and equipment to help her clients. Lisa has worked within the community sector since graduating from the University of Queensland, with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, in 2008. She spent 9 years working in the community health sector and joined the Bayside OT team in 2018, where she has gained extensive experience working with older adults, veterans, war widows and NDIS participants. Lisa is married and has two active boys. Lisa enjoys going on camping trips with her family and she always has a craft activity (or two!) on the go.

Natalie

Senior OT

Originally from Melbourne, Natalie completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at La Trobe University in 1994.  Natalie has worked in many areas throughout her career, including aged care, chronic illness, cancer care and palliative care. She completed post graduate studies in palliative care at Flinders University in 2015.   Natalie particularly enjoys working with older clients to live safely and independently in their own homes wherever possible and strives to provide continuity of care at a high standard to her clients and their families.   In her spare time, Natalie enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, her two crazy dogs and her friends.

Kim

Senior OT

Kim graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Hons). She started working for Queensland Health in Community Rehabilitation before moving to London and working for the NHS in Community and Inpatient Rehabilitation, and particularly enjoys working with adults in their own homes. Kim joined the Bayside OT team in 2012 and has 15 years of experience working with older adults and adults with disabilities in a community setting. She is experienced in providing OT services for DVA and home care packages, recently trained in oedema management and continues to expand her knowledge and professional development in this area. As well as being a busy mum of two, she enjoys singing and playing music, hiking, yoga and reading.

Aisling

Senior OT

Aisling graduated from London South Bank University with a MSc in Occupational Therapy in 2013. She has extensive experience working across London in different NHS and local council settings including hospitals, inpatient and community rehab, nursing homes, intermediate care and complex social services teams. Aisling has recently joined the Bayside OT team and enjoys working with clients to improve their safety and independence, with the aim of being able to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. She has experience in providing assistive technology and specialised equipment and making recommendations for home modifications. Aisling particularly enjoys the areas of falls prevention and dementia care. Aisling has a passion for traveling after having lived overseas in different countries and is an enthusiastic nature and animal lover, she can be found exploring the local national parks and preserves (as the hot weather permits!).

Siobhan

Senior OT

Siobhan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Hons). She began working with older persons in Sunshine Coast across a number of residential aged care facilities before moving to community care in 2018. Siobhan has extensive experience in assisting her clients navigating the multiple funding schemes, accessing and prescribing assistive devices, home modifications and safe manual handling practices. She has a passion for growing her knowledge base and continuing to learn new skills. Outside of work, Siobhan tends to her home garden, native bee hives, embroidery and collecting eggs from her home chooks.

Angela

Admin

Angela joined the Bayside OT admin team in 2014 having had a background in medical reception and administration roles. She has many talents and is a master multi-tasker, taking enquiries on a day-to-day basis, whilst keeping everything ticking over smoothly. Angela is an animal lover and enjoys creative arts as well as spending time with family and friends.
